REBOUND – a resilience programme

REBOUND is a resilience programme and a class in self responsibility. The programme consists of three pillars:

  1. School course
  2. Online learning system
  3. Mentoring

Resilience is a kind of strength which helps recognising challenges and facing them actively. Resilience in regard to alcohol and other drugs also means the ability of protecting one self. The resilience concept has been researched for almost 60 years and, together with the salutogenesis approach, provides a good framework for a prevention project which doesn’t merely consist of warnings by adults. We want to actively support the development of resilience.
What is the positive sense of intoxication and risk behaviour? How does one learn to find a sound approach towards cigarettes or cannabis? Since scare tactics tend to reach only some people, REBOUND focuses more on the role that psychoactive substances take in the development of identity and figure out the cultural factors of substance consumption.
